Today’s Bible reading is Luke chapter 21

(Read the entire New Testament in 2014 by reading only one chapter each day)

Jesus is coming again and the signs of the times are appearing everywhere. As the day of His coming draws near there will be an increase of false teaching, wars, earthquakes, famines, diseases, and persecution. Jesus taught His followers that when these things begin to take place do not fear, but look up for your redemption draws near. He said when you see these things come to pass know that the kingdom of God is near at hand. In light of His return, Believers should stand firm in God’s Word. Heaven and earth will pass away but the Word of God will stand forever. We must see to it that we do not get caught in the snares of sinful living, but rather watch and pray and be prepared to meet the Lord. Knowing that our time is short let’s make the most of every opportunity to serve the Lord.

Prayer: “Dear Lord, help us to be watchful for Your return, and may we make the most of every opportunity to share Christ with those who don’t know You. In Jesus name. Amen.”
