“Will You Be A Light This Christmas?”
Let your light shine this Christmas, tell somebody about Jesus!
“Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;” (Philippians 2:14-15)
God has been good to us! Let’s be good to others! The kindest thing you can do for someone is to tell them about Jesus and explain to them the Gospel! Since you personally cannot go to every person in the world go to as many as you can, and at the same time give so that other trustworthy individuals can teach the Gospel to the ends of the earth! This is the calling of every Believer!
“And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” (Daniel 12:3)
Give that others may tell! You tell as many people as you can, and you give that other faithful Christians can tell as many people as they can! By giving you are telling!
One of the best ways to give is through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering! The LMCO funds overseas mission work. Missionaries all over the world funded through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering are telling the message of the Gospel to countless people! People are hearing because you give, and by giving you are telling!
Southern Baptist Missionaries are highly trained, skilled, and dedicated individuals sent out by the churches to carry the message of the cross to the ends of the earth! They need our love and support to fulfill the Great Commission!
We must pray! By praying we are telling! Pray specifically for the Southern Baptist Missionaries you help support! Resources like the International Mission Board provide us with prayer ammunition! There are many places in the world where I may not physically be able to go, but there isn’t any place in the world where my prayers cannot go!
If you would like to receive daily emails during the “Week of Prayer” December 2-9 go to imb.org to sign up!
Matthew records, “But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.””
The Lord of the harvest beckons us to go, give, and pray! Together let’s tell the world about Jesus!
